Co-Health Brussels: healthy and climate-friendly choices in nutrition and physical activity
In an urban context such as Brussels, young people are increasingly facing health problems as a result of physical inactivity, food inequality, and limited access to healthy choices. This project focuses on promoting healthy and climate-friendly eating and exercise habits among young people, where limited mobility and social inequality converge.
Through co-creation and accessible technology, young people are actively involved in the design and use of (digital) tools. This approach promotes intrinsic motivation and cultural dialogue about health behavior. With a person-centered and context-sensitive approach, the project responds to the diverse needs and living environments of young people.
The project is in line with the ambitions of the RC Preventive Health Innovation, with a focus on prevention, sustainable behavioral change, and accessible health technology. By involving young people, schools, and local organizations, it contributes to health literacy, inclusion, and structural improvement of the living environment.
Brussels' diversity is seen as an added value: young people are not only the target group, but also co-researchers in a process that focuses on equality and participation. In this way, the project contributes to a more just, healthier, and more sustainable city.
