Rooted in European values, democracy, and cultural diversity, the overall objective of the AiCommons project is to shape how artists, creative professionals, technologists, art schools, and policymakers engage with the evolving impact of AI on Europe’s Creative Industries — intellectually, emotionally, and strategically. AiCommons promotes sovereign, transparent, and fair approaches to AI that challenge dominant big tech paradigms and strengthen Europe’s creative and technological autonomy. This transformation will be driven by collaborative, interdisciplinary research that connects with existing initiatives and integrates community-based data collection, academic and artistic inquiry, speculative exploration, actionable insights, intelligent infrastructure, and AI-powered tools, which are all grounded in sustained collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and democratic discourse.
