Experiment garden 2024: from seed to tasty and healthy on the plate in the Rabot neighbourhood

The Experiment Garden is a kitchen garden in Ghent's Rabot neighbourhood where children, young people, local residents and partners come together to learn about sustainable and healthy food. In short, with this project we want to increase neighbourhood cohesion in the Rabo neighbourhood and at the same time raise awareness about sustainable and healthy food, leading to behavioural change. We don't do this not only: we use the Experiment Garden as a place where partners organise activities for the neighbourhood. In doing so, we reach children from surrounding schools, college students, local residents and so on. We then share the lessons learned with regional stakeholders so that they can set up similar initiatives.
