How do students truly grasp warehouse operations? Through international teamwork and hands-on experience in a real-life logistics environment.

In short
This cross-border project connects universities of applied sciences from East and West Flanders and Zeeland to strengthen Logistics Engineering and Supply Chain Management programmes. The goal: to give students hands-on warehouse experience in an authentic learning environment.

Need and relevance
Students receive a solid theoretical foundation but often lack real-world experience. This is a critical issue in the logistics sector, a key industry in all three regions. By working in international teams, students learn across borders, mirroring the diversity of the professional logistics field and increasing the relevance of their education.

From approach to impact
Students test warehouse operations at Fabriek Logistiek, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements. They visit regional companies, collaborate in international teams, and integrate their insights into academic assignments. The project enhances practical know-how and intercultural skills, delivering graduates who meet the expectations of the logistics industry in Flanders and the Netherlands.
