SAFETRAWL II

In this project, we aim to increase the accuracy, reliability and valorisation of our SafeTrawl prototype

to a finished product available to every fisherman by June 2027. To this end, we will

provide our device with more input from VISTools (optional) and our own sensors (inclination, boom angles), using

a modified algorithm.

The simplicity of the output to the skipper was well received and we will retain it.

Our ambition is not only to refine SafeTrawl II technically, but also to position it economically

so that the system can be rolled out on fishing vessels at home and abroad. We will also convert this

stability calculator into a simulator so that the device can also be used for stability training

for current and future fishermen.
