The project aims to empower and include young women aged 18 to 25 who are not in employment, education or training and who are not active in sports (NEETs), by using refereeing as a tool to build self-confidence, leadership, and autonomy. The focus is on vulnerable young women from rural or disadvantaged backgrounds who are socially and professionally isolated. In collaboration with sports and social organisations, the project seeks to feminise refereeing and to increase recognition of the transferable skills it develops (such as decision-making, communication, and stress management), while also addressing physical inactivity. Through non-formal educational workshops and European exchanges, the project aims to use refereeing as a lever for social and professional inclusion, and for the physical and mental well-being of this target group.
