Safety at events with an integrated safety model

How can we organize safer events?
This research aims to help the event industry identify the various safety risks at an event so that they can be better managed. Think of the risks in terms of health, mobility, crowds, safety, security and crisis management.
Safety = top priority
Safety has become more than ever an absolute priority due to the corona crisis. Safety first is the starting point for the organization of all events, regardless of the type and size of the event.
In this research, we work intensively with partners active in the event sector, the safety sector, the medical sector and with local and regional authorities.
Integral safety model
The goal of this research is to develop an integral safety model for events. The model will not only advise, inform and inspire, but also help evaluate. That model will be translated into an online platform with a safety scan. This scan will provide concrete tools tailored to all event professionals in Belgium.
