Higher education institutions in improving competencies of (future) professionals in prevention science and promotion of young people's quality of life

In this project, researchers are developing and implementing a prevention curriculum for higher education institutions and NGOs, with a strong focus on preventive action around various forms of psychosocial risk behavior.

The curriculum builds on the scientific insights from the European Prevention Curriculum (EUPC) and is further refined around themes such as mental well-being, violence, sexual transgressive behavior, gaming and gambling, and other addiction-related behavior. The project is based on the core competencies that are indispensable for (future) prevention workers.

In order to reach various student groups and (novice) prevention professionals, innovative learning methods are being used. HIPE also aims to explicitly bridge the gap between academic expertise and the professional field by systematically responding to needs and knowledge from practice, locally, nationally, and internationally.

The project will run for three years and is a collaboration between various higher education institutions in Hungary, Belgium, Croatia, Greece, and Spain.
