Making an impact through digital upskilling in care organisations: how can we implement technology-supported sustainable training?
How can technology strengthen sustainable training in healthcare? This project explores tailored digital learning solutions for and with care organisations.
In short
Technology can boost the lasting impact of in-service training for care professionals. In this practice-based research project, Artevelde University of Applied Sciences and partners explore how to implement “tailored” and “on demand” technology-supported training in healthcare settings. Partners include Wit-Gele Kruis West-Flanders, University Psychiatric Centre Duffel and Leiehome.
Need and relevance
Healthcare providers invest in staff training, but lasting learning results are often lacking. There is a growing need for sustainable training solutions that respond to workplace realities. Technology offers great potential—if well selected and properly embedded. This project addresses the need for effective, long-term learning strategies in a rapidly changing care environment.
From approach to impact
We identify the learning needs of healthcare organisations through interviews and workshops. Next, we assess which technologies are best suited to enhance learning impact. Finally, we examine what is needed to implement such digital training successfully. The result: a hands-on guide for organisations aiming to develop sustainable, technology-enhanced learning paths. In doing so, we support both learning outcomes and quality of care.
