Political Social Work
Social workers are the first witnesses to the living conditions, needs, and interests of the most socially vulnerable populations in our society. They observe the impact of the social policies enacted in the tangible lives of the people they work with. They meet daily with people who are less visible in our society and listen to voices that often have no place in public debate. In this research, we investigate how social workers in different sectors cope with this societal position. We wonder how and to what extent they manage to engage politically in their daily work practice.
