IELS
Several KU Leuven research groups are combining their substantive, methodological and logistical expertise in the context of Flemish participation in the International Early Learning and Child Well-being Study (IELS). First, the optimal complement of the international instruments, a correct follow-up of the international guidelines and maximising the response are central. Then follows extensive reporting on the early literacy and numeracy, self-regulation and social development of 5-year-olds in Flanders with attention to (relationships with) factors at family, teacher and school level. In collaboration with PXL, several knowledge-sharing initiatives increase relevance for policy and practice
