NanoInformaTIX will create a sustainable multi-scale modelling framework. The framework integrates various validated NanoInformatics models including Materials modelling, Exposure modelling, and Bio-distribution modelling such as Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetics (PBPK). Additionally, Dose-Response modelling like Quantitative-Structure-Activity Relation (QSAR) and Systems Biology modelling will be incorporated. These models aim to support the prediction of the potential (eco)-toxicity of ENM at every stage of their production.

Resultaten

Dose-response modelling activities involve using top-down data mining methods and other quantitative approaches to develop models of the ENM dose-response relationship for (eco)-toxicity. This allows for linking ENM descriptors (WP3) to adverse outcomes. The goal is to extrapolate the dose-response from in vitro settings to in vivo scenarios, as well as to expand current systems biology models. Additionally, the aim is to group and classify ENMs based on their potential hazard.

Key outcomes of these activities include validated, standardized, and implemented models of ENM dose-response relationships, in vitro/in vivo extrapolation, system biological models, and a system for predicting or grouping/classifying adverse outcomes using ENM descriptors.
