Course developer for the graduation track “Content Strategy & Engagement” (10% )

Profiel en ervaring:

• We are looking for a colleague who:
• Has a strong background in content strategy, with a focus on community building, participation and long-term engagement, both online and offline
• Has proven experience in storytelling, narrative development and experience design as tools to create meaningful audience connections
• Is able to link strategic communication objectives with creative storytelling and audience insights, grounded in research and real-world practice
• Has experience in teaching in higher education, including the supervision of project-based work and preferably graduation projects
• Can translate professional practice in community engagement, participatory communication or experience-driven content into a clear, coherent and academically sound framework
• Communicates clearly and works collaboratively with colleagues, students and external partners
• Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and a teaching certificate is a plus.
• Meets the language requirement of Academic English (C1 level) or is a native English speaker (with a B2 level Dutch)
• You meet the profile of the Thomas More employee.

Inhoud van de opdracht:

• As course developer of the Content Strategy & Engagement graduation track, you will:
• Provide academic and content leadership for the track, contributing to the development, documentation and positioning of the curriculum, including the creation and updating of ECTS course descriptions for new or evolving track components
• Coordinate and align graduation projects within the track, ensuring coherence in topic selection, research focus, supervision approach and evaluation criteria
• Act as a central point of contact for students, supervisors and external partners, fostering strong collaboration between education, professional practice and real-world community contexts
• Work closely with course coordinators and teaching teams to ensure alignment between the graduation track, related courses and learning activities across the programme
• Contribute actively to the further development, visibility and strategic positioning of the Content Strategy & Engagement track within the programme and towards external stakeholders
• Support and safeguard quality assurance processes related to graduation projects, evaluations and the final internship, including a mentoring and guidance role for students throughout their graduation trajectory
• There will be an opportunity to teach and coordinate a selection of courses, labs and project-based learning units related to content strategy, storytelling, engagement and participatory communication, and contribute to the identification and onboarding of appropriate teaching profiles where needed, as from the academic year 2026-2027 (starting September).
